Taolu (forms) Officials:Head Judge:This is the Taolu (forms) ring main judge for the division. He/she will call competitors to attention, check over the competitors list, make sure all competitors are accounted for, examine their weapons, call judge conferences when necessary, signal the competitor when they can begin their set, read the scores of each judge, give the final score, apply deductions to final score and apply disciplinary action to any judge or competitor in their ring as they deem necessary. Competitors must follow all commands of the Head Judge and bow to him/her upon entering and leaving the competition ring. Scoring Judges (5): These judges will score each competitor and will follow the instructions of the Head Judge.
Scorekeeper: This official will tally the scores of each judge and present the final score to the Head Judge for announcement. This official will also make sure that medals are accounted for each division and mark the placement of each contestant in their respective divisions. He/she will also call the names of each competitor and who’s on deck
Event Coordinator: This official(s) makes sure that competitors are registered, checked-in, accounted for, in their correct divisions and ready to compete. This official is also responsible for competitors score sheets, medals and communications with the different Head Judges for each division. |
