Scoring criteria and standards for Tao Lu competition:

The scoring range of each event will be divided as follows:

ADULTS

Beginner: 6.00 to 7.50

Intermidiate: 7.00 to 8.50

Advanced: 8.00 to 9.50

CHILDREN and TEENS

Beginner: 5.50 to 7.00

Intermidiate: 6.00 to 7.50

Advanced: 7.00 to 8.50

The criteria for judging handsets will be as follows:

Quality of Techniques

• Quality of hands, legs, stances and general movement - 1.00 point
• Degree of difficulty of set - 1.00 point
• Skill exhibited in set - 1.00 point

Strength

• Smoothness of force displayed - 1.00 point
• Balance exhibited during set - 1.00 point
• Coordination among hands, eyes, body and steps - 1.00 point

Spirit

• Spirit displayed during set - 1.00 point
• Rhythm of set - 1.00 point
• Features of the set - 1.00 point

Martial Ethics

• Dress  (correct uniform for northern or southern sets) - 0.33 points
• Personal appereance - 0.33 points
• Courtesy - 0.34 points

• Proper characteristics of weapon - 1.00 point
• Skill exhibited in set - 1.00 point
